Heading into the first Republican Presidential Debate, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker trailed front runners Donald Trump and Jeb Bush.
Walker has a lot of time to make up ground with potential voters though.
University of Minnesota Duluth Associate Professor Geoff Sheagley said Thursday, that Walker’s ability to speak to both fiscal and social conservatives makes him an interesting candidate in the primaries.
Sheagley said Governor Walker is already viewed favorably by most fiscal republicans and that if he can attract the social conservatives his odds of winning the primary could be very good.
Sheagley also said Walker’s experience as a Governor in a Midwestern state, could help him in his bid for the all-important Iowa caucus in February.
Current polls show Walker and Trump in a dead heat in that state.
