The Fond du Lac Band is expanding the Center for American Indian Resources to West 4th Street in Duluth.

A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Friday morning to celebrate the $13 million expansion.

The new facility will be around 30,000 square feet and offer expanded services similar to those offered at the Min No Aya Win clinic in Cloquet.

In addition to the additional services, the Band expects to double staffing from 50 employees to 100.

Construction on the new facility is scheduled to be completed in August of 2016.
