The voices of Duluthians with disabilities are being heard a little louder.
Tuesday, Arc Northland held its annual picnic, which included a meet and greet with lawmakers.
Those with the organization say one big issue for people with disabilities is the lack of available housing.
“It takes so much longer to find housing because they have a physical disability and they need a place that doesn’t have any stairs or has an elevator and that’s within their budget,” explained Sarah Fritz, with Arc Northland of Duluth.
Arc Northland promotes and protects human rights of people with disabilities and their families.
