Rice Lake is Minnesota’s Newest City

Minnesota will soon have a new city.
A judge has granted the Town of Rice Lake’s petition for incorporation.
October 13th will be election day to decide on a mayor and city council members.
Rice Lake will include 32-square miles.
The township, founded in 1870, has a population of about 4,000 people and is located north of Duluth.
