The Proctor Golf Club offered active military and veterans a free round of golf for Labor Day.
The 1st Annual Veterans Open was held to honor and thank veterans for their service.
Proctor Golf Club General Manager, Brian Walker, said it’s because of the veterans service and sacrifices that Americans are able to choose the types of labor they do.
In addition to the free 18 holes, veterans and their significant others were offered a free dinner catered by Tavern on the Hill and Blackwoods.
Walker said the club plans to hold a 2nd Veterans Open next July.
