The city of Duluth is informing the public that travel on the Aerial Lift Bridge will be temporarily converted to one-way traffic.
The change will occur between 8 a.m and 4 p.m. Sept. 14 and 15.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be conducting a “fracture critical inspection” on the bridge during that time.
Traffic on the bridge will be controlled by traffic signal lights.
The traffic lights will let motorists know when it is safe to proceed across the bridge. If the inspection is completed early, staff will resume two way traffic.
Motorists should also be aware of an altered traffic pattern on the Park Point end of the bridge due to construction of a pump station on Park Point.
