Thousands of people came out to Chester Bowl Park to celebrate community and the changing of the season.

The Chester Bowl Improvement Club and Duluth Parks hosted the 31st annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest Saturday.

Crowds enjoyed live music, lots of local food, as well as arts and crafts from the 128 vendors.

Officials said it was a record breaking attendance at the event.

“This event is really what Duluth is all about, and why we’re Outside Magazine’s number one outdoor city, is people just getting out in a park together and enjoying their time,” said Chester Bowl’s Executive Director Dave Schaeffer.

The Fall Fest was free to the public.

Donations from last year’s event totaled $7,000 and officials expect to top that this year.
