A familiar face in the Twin Ports business community is retiring after 46 years.

Roger Teal has been working at Ed Barbo’s Columbia Clothing on Superior Street for the past 26 years.

Before that, he worked at a men’s apparel store in Superior for 20 years.

His employees hosted a retirement party for him on his last day at work Wednesday.

“It was very surreal when i came this morning. I thought years ago this day would never come, and it’s amazing how fast it does come,” said Teal. “My main thing is to tell everybody out there that came in the store since I’ve been here is I’ve appreciated their business, but more so their friendship and their loyalty.”

Teal plans to spend his free time with his grandchildren and go on some road trips with his wife.
