Duluth firefighters were turning Minnesota Power Plaza into a “community living room” Wednesday.
Organizers say it’s all to raise money for Operation Warm, which will help buy winter jackets for Northland children.
“It’s about community and giving back to our community. Unfortunately, we are on the front lines when people are sick or when they’re experiencing a hardship, so we see the need that’s in the community,” said Jon Otis, a Duluth firefighter.
Firefighters will be in the plaza for 24 hours starting Thursday night, with coffee, games and food.
