Well-Known Artist With Disorder Dead At 32

A well-known, vibrant artist from Barnes has died. Nate Merz, 32, died of complications from pneumonia, according to his family.

Nate was born with a neuro-degenerative disorder.

Doctors didn’t expect him to live past the age of 10.

Nate was overwhelmingly known for his amazing artwork through a paint brush and by only using his left hand.

“He is a very special kid – very talented, he touches a lot of people’s hearts. Always has a smile on his face. He is always happy and just lightens up the room,” said his brother, Brandon Palmer, in an April 29 interview with FOX 21.
