Buffalo Wild Wings is hosting their annual Team Up For Kids fundraising event this month.
The event benefits local Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.
Throughout October the restaurant will be taking donations from customers and donating $1.00 for every jar of wing sauce purchased.
Throughout the year, the restaurant chain donates $.50 cents for every jar of sauce sold, but doubles that amount in October.
Duluth General Manager, Chad Baker says the month long event ties in well to the restaurants sports theme, and the money is used to help kids participate in team sports.
The restaurant chain’s goal is to help 80,000 children take part in competitive team sports, who would otherwise be unable to participate.
Baker said the response in Duluth has always been strong.
Last year the store placed second among all corporately owned stores in dollars raised.
This year, Baker says, the Duluth Buffalo Wild Wings reached it’s fundraising goal for the entire month in only four days.
In addition to accepting donations in the store and from sauce purchases, a car wash will be held at the restaurant from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 10th.
