Boo at the Zoo is another large success for the Lake Superior Zoo.

Last weekend, more than 4,00 visitors made it out for the fun day.

This morning, Shana Vesel and Sarah Wilcox, with the Lake Superior Zoo, stopped by FOX Sunrise to talk about what to expect.

Vesel says it’s a fun event with many family-friendly activities.

The annual event will have a pumpkin patch, games and contests, hayrides, food vendors and trick-or-treating throughout the zoo.

Wilcox showed the special guest, Weber the African Fruit Bat, and said there will be many educational opportunities at the event as well.

Because of the expected large attendance and the road construction project along Grand Avenue in front of the zoo, the zoo will again operate a free shuttle bus from two church parking lots across Grand.

Boo at the Zoo is Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door.

Children 2 and under who are not trick-or-treating are free.
