‘Vision Duluth’ Launches For Equity, Democracy

A new plan for more equity in Duluth has launched as Vision Duluth.

Organizers say it’s a way to engage hundreds of Duluthians in a process to shape and implement a vision for the city that’s rooted in equity and democracy.

“I think it’s bringing together a really great cross section of Duluth together and focusing on something that everyone can actually get involved in and help make change,” said Melissa Hellerud-Storie, with the YWCA.

Vision Duluth is made up of more than a half-dozen non-profits that are hoping to improve people’s lives through things like better transportation to jobs and affordable housing.
