Some liquor store and bar owners in Superior say they’re devastated after a city council ruling.
Councilors voted to approve a liquor license for Super One’s east end location Tuesday.
The store will now move forward with opening a liquor store and bar, but some local business owners say it will take customers away from them.
City councilor Tom Fennessey says the move shows growth within the city.
Patrick Miner, owner of Super One Foods, sent us this statement about the vote:
“Miner’s Inc. is pleased with the outcome of the Superior City Council granting us a liquor license last night. We’ve had tremendous interest from our customers in being able to deliver this offering. We’re looking forward to serving our customers even better in the city of Superior.”
