On October 10th Stephanie Love and Blake Cazier received a letter from Fredenberg Township informing them they were no longer welcome on public land they have been utilizing for more than a decade.
Cazier and Love are the co-founders of Positive Energy Outdoors, a camp dedicated to teaching youth the joy of outdoor activities.
The land, now known as Fredenberg Park, was perviously tax forfeited property owned by St. Louis County before it was given to Fredenberg Township.
Upon receiving the land from the county the township decided that it should be a park free from “commercial use.”
The Town Board included Cazier and Love’s camp as a commercial entity in their decision to ban the group from any use of the land.
Love told FOX 21 She does not know why her group is being banned from the property and is seeking further clarification, but is confused as to how the camp and campers can be banned from utilizing public resources.
