Christmas Appears Two Months Before The Big Day

It’s two months before Christmas, and although there are a few major holidays before Dec. 25, stores are already selling Christmas inventory. 

Retailers say as the seasons change, customers start looking for Christmas decorations.

But the sales start picking up after Halloween, and stores see an increase in purchases as Thanksgiving comes closer.

Meanwhile, down at the Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, volunteers are working hard to set up Bentleyville, which opens in less than a month

Bentleyville is billed as “America’s largest free walk through lighting display, with over 3.5 million lights stretched over 17 acres.

Though the non-profit no longer needs large groups of volunteers to help set up everything, they will be looking for volunteers when they open

“We need 60 volunteers here every single night,” said Nathan Bentley, executive director of Bentlyville.
