Union Gospel Mission has been going though changes in recent months.

The biggest change, is the selection of a new executive director.

Susan Jordahl Bubacz has been with the organization for nearly four months.

She says it’s been a phenomenal four months and she has an incredible staff.

In recent months, there has been a 30 percent increase in need for meals.

They are the only soup kitchen in Duluth that is open 7 days a week.

Jordahl Bubacz says the patrons are “just beautiful people.”

Union Gospel Mission needs hygiene products the most right now.

They are also in need of food baskets. That program is up 22 percent.

Ahead of the holidays, they need donations of turkeys.

They are look for 8-12 pound turkeys, or for someone to adopt a basket.
