A manufacturing plant in Duluth that’s been vacant for three years now has a potential buyer.

The Georgia-Pacific plant that specialized in making hardboard closed in August, 2012, putting 141 employees out of work.

The building has remained closed since, unable to find a buyer until now.

F.I. Salter Co. in Duluth is partnering with Georgia-Pacific’s real estate broker for the deal.

Not many details have been released; the buyer has not been named, nor have any financial details been made public.

An official with F.I. Salter tells FOX 21 a purchase transaction is expected by the end of the year.
