New Duluth Salon Caters to African-American Community

A new salon in Duluth is catering to the city’s growing African-American community. 

“Boss the Salon” offers a variety of services including a small boutique. 

Although it’s geared towards the African-American community, the shop’s owner wants people to know her goal is to benefit everyone living in Duluth. 

“It’s not just the colored people salon it’s a salon that focuses on the whole community, with colored people in mind,” said Lena Cooper, Boss the Salon Owner. 

Boss the Salon is located downtown in the Board of Trade Building.
