For 100 years the Red Cross has served Duluth in it’s time of need.
Board members and volunteers for the Red Cross gathered to mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Duluth Chapter of the American Red Cross helps anyone in a crisis situation, but one of their biggest projects actually helps people through out the country.
“With all of the disasters going on around the country sometimes the best place to get the blood is mid-west because we don’t have the tornadoes, the hurricanes, the flash floods that are happening in other states,” said Penny Dieryck, Board Chair of the Northland Chapter Red Cross.
The Red Cross’ highest priority remains letting people know that they are there when tragedy strikes.
