Cirrus Aircraft held a job fair at its Duluth facility, Wednesday night and the turnout surprised organizers.

More than 200 job seekers attended the event.

The job fair was originally scheduled for two hours, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., but there was still a long line of applicants waiting to be interviewed at the planned closing.

Cirrus Executive Director of Operation Jaime Schilling said the company even brought in extra staff to conduct interviews when they realized just how many applicants there were.

Even with the additional staffing, applicants still needed to wait for long periods of time for their chance to interview with the company.

Cirrus did provide complimentary refreshments to the job seekers, along with tours of the facility.
