Community Members Signed Cards for Military Units and Veterans

With Veteran’s Day approaching, and Christmas not that far away, the Northland is letting our nation’s heroes know they are thought about and appreciated this holiday season. 

Bent Paddle Brewing Company held a “Holiday Mail for Heroes” card signing event Friday night. 

Community members came out to write holiday cards to send to local veterans and units who have served in the military.

If community members brought in  three cards from home to send, they got a pint of beer on the house.

If they filled out a  holiday card that was provided by Bent Paddle, they got a pint size upgrade.

“There’s well over 2 thousand people actively serving our countries in guard units, and coast guard in the area, and thousands and thousands of veterans,” said Dan Williams, the Executive Director of the American Red Cross serving Northern Minnesota.

The American Red Cross Event was sponsored by Bent Paddle and Thrivent Financial.
