Minnesota Senator Roger Reinert visited the Glensheen Mansion to discuss several bonding projects he is authoring this legislative session.

“Bonding projects have 2 requirements. One is that they be publicly owned so that they are a good investment of public dollars, and that they be of regional significance,” said Minnesota Senator Roger Reinert.

He addressed some of the needs of several publicly owned attractions in the city, like Glensheen Mansion.

Reinert is proposing what he calls a bonding package of around $50 million dollars that could cover these needs.

Glensheen Mansion representatives say they have repair projects worth around $8 million dollars that are necessary to sustaining the historic museum.

Though the mansion needs repairs, it has had  more visitors this year than previous years.
