Split Rock Lighthouse to Hold Fitzgerald Ceremony

Tuesday is the 40th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

To honor this day, there will be a commemorative beacon lighting at Split Rock Lighthouse.

The lighthouse and fog signal building will be open for tours from noon to 6 p.m.

There will be a bell ceremony and singing of the Naval Hymn at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and college students, $6 ages 6-17, and free ages 5 and under and MNHS members.
