Local businesses also took the time to make area Veterans feel special by offering free food and services on November 11th.
This is the 10th year Duluth Grill has offered a free entrée to past and present military members.
The restaurant planned to serve 150-250 people.
Owner Tom Hanson said many of his peers served in Vietnam and he is thankful for that, as he said the freebie is all about recognition for those who have served.
“I’ve had customers come up 6–months from now and call me to their table and thank me and it is really amazing,” said Co-Owner of Duluth Grill Tom Hanson.
Great Clips, Applebee’s and Glensheen also offered free services to Veterans.
