Plys With Purpose Auctioning Skateboards With Special Designs

The Fundraiser is Benefiting Skate Park Building Efforts

Prøve Gallery and the Gary New Duluth Development Alliance are hosting Plys With Purpose tomorrow.   It’s a fund raiser in the form of a Silent Auction. Skateboards with designs on them from national and international artists will be auctioned off.

“My mission is to bridge these cultural gaps between people who skateboard and those who do not to show that skateboarders are not just these reckless people, running around downtown,” said Taylor Kline, the director of Prøve Gallery.

The proceeds of the event will benefit an ongoing effort to build a skate park in Gary New Duluth.
