Removal of Mature Trees Source of Contention

St. Louis County held a public meeting at Greysolon, Thursday night to discuss the future of the 4th St. reconsrtuction project.

Duluth residents have objected to the project based on the planned removal of several mature trees that currently line the street.

County officials took input from residents and explained their vision for the 4th street project, including the plan to replace any removed trees with some 20 different species of new trees.
