What UWS Does to Keep Students Safe While Studying Abroad
UWS Talks About Student Safety
In the wake of the tragedy in Paris, there are new concerns about the safety of students traveling abroad. We spoke to one local university with study abroad programs to see what they’re doing to keep theirs students safe, even while overseas.
“We have them meet with embassy leaders, we give them a debriefing here at home, and then they meet with the embassy leaders, and even while they’re there we keep really good track of them,” said Daniel Fanning, the Director of Communications at the University of Superior Wisconsin.
UWS said they did not have any students in Paris when the attacks took place.
