Northland Women Get Shopping Tips For Heart Health

Ten Northland women got a tour of the Burning Tree Road Super One in Duluth, Wednesday.

All 10 ladies are participants in the Go Red For Women Challenge that’s being put on by the American Heart Association.

The challenge lasts 10 weeks and encourages women to live healthier lives while improving their overall health.

Essentia Health Dietician Bonnie Brost says sometimes a healthy decision can be as simple as choosing humus over dill dip, but some can be more difficult.

Brost says there is no one magic food out there, and that shaping a diet made up of a variety of healthy foods is the best way to ensure healthy living.

The challenge will end March 2, when the 10 challengers will show off their results at the DECC.
