Patrick Boyle Running For Re-election To County Board

The following is a press release from the Patrick Boyle Campaign:

County Commissioner Patrick Boyle today announced his campaign for re-election to the St. Louis County Board, 2nd District.

“It has been an honor to represent the citizens of eastern Duluth for the past 7 years as an elected official, the last three as a County Commissioner. I will again be asking for their vote this fall.”

His campaign will focus on maintaining a strong budget without undue taxpayer burden and continuing to protect our most vulnerable citizens.

“Through prudent fiscal management, we improved our bond rating to AA+, one of the highest available to local governments. We have made a commitment to keeping a balanced budget. We voted no increase in the property tax levy for 2016 while still providing quality services to all citizens of St. Louis County.”

“I’m proud of helping provide a dedicated social worker to work with the Duluth Police Department to aid in cases of mental health crisis. We were one of the first locations in Minnesota to do so.

“We were able to add ten dedicated social workers with child protection services and also approve financial incentives to help foster parents defray costs. This will help our growing need in finding adequate out-of-home placements.

“Over the 6-plus years of serving the community in public office, I have learned how to be a strong voice for our region. Along the way I have built relationships with school board, city, state and federal elected officials. These relationships have helped me formulate policies which are efficient and helpful for our area.”

Patrick Boyle lives with his wife, Jennifer, and daughters, Mary and Clare, in the Congdon neighborhood of Duluth.
