MnDOT Commissioner Hosts Roundtable In Duluth

Charles Zelle Concerned For The Future Of Transportation

The commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Charles Zelle, held a presentation at the new DTA Center Thursday.

A few hours after the grand opening of the news center, Zelle took to the floor to address the a concern of funding future maintenance.

“We need to make sure we preserve the system and then do strategic expansions.” Zelle said.

The conversation focused on preservation because much of Minnesota’s roadways and infrastructures were constructed in the 1960s and ’70s.
