Black Lives Matter Threatens to Shut Down Crashed Ice Event

The Black Lives Matter group says they are planning to disrupt a large ice cross race event in St. Paul if a police officer is not fired.

Black Lives Matter says it will attempt to shut down the Red Bull Crashed Ice event on February 27.

Jeffrey Rothecker, a St. Paul Police Officer, is on leave while the department investigates controversial Facebook remarks.

Rothecker apologized last month for a post he made on Facebook urging drivers to run over protesters who rallied against the police killings of two black men in the Twin Cities last year.

The group is calling for criminal charges against Rothecker for disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats.
