Better City Superior Survey Results

Results Come in from Better City Superior

Community leaders from Better City Superior, a local economic development group say the city needs to be strategic and purposeful in what they decide they want to be.

In surveys given out in December, residents voiced that they want businesses and citizens to lead the way to future growth. Many said they want to reinvest in quality of life opportunities and not to compete with Duluth but for the cities to complement one another.

“We’re at a very critical time. I think it’s on our watch now to reinvest in ourselves and decide what we want to be and take advantage of the new assets that we have, some new downtown infrastructure, and grow the economy and grow the population” said Bruce Thompson, Better City Superior president.

The nineteen question survey received more than one thousand responses, a number the group is pleased with. Only one-third of respondents said they feel positive about Superior’s future.
