Work Wraps up Early on Aerial Lift Bridge

Repair work has wrapped up early on the Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth.

Crews replaced the wire ropes, which served to raise and lower the bridge.

Work started on February 1 and was expected to last until the end of the February.

The city says through the diligent efforts of Lakehead Constructors and City staff, the project was completed ahead of schedule.

Both lanes of traffic on the bridge are now open to traffic.
