Duluth Police catch Burglary Suspect Red-Handed

A burglary suspect is in custody after Duluth Police caught him red-handed.

Authorities responded to a security alarm at Goodwill Industries just after 2 Tuesday morning.

Police set up a perimeter outside of the building and called for K-9 assistance.

Duluth Police K-9 Kobra and his handler, Kevin Tomlin, arrived and went into the building.

While searching the facility, Kobra alerted his handler to a 10-foot high pile of clothes in the storage room.

Police located the suspect behind the clothing with a sleeping bag draped over him.

Authorities say the man had a pillowcase of merchandise with him that he gathered from inside the business.

He was arrested and is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on burglary charges.
