Gov. Dayton orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff in honor of Fallen Minnesota Marine

Governor Mark Dayton has ordered that all United States and Minnesota Flags be flown at half-staff in honor of a fallen Minnesota Marine.

24-year-old Dillion Semolina died on January 14.  He was one of 12 Hawaii-based Marines who were killed when two choppers crashed during nighttime training.

Dayton ordered that flags at all state and federal buildings be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday, February 26.

A celebration of Sergreant Semolina’s life will be held on Friday in Bloomington, followed by interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Semolina graduated from Delano High School in 2010.
