Man Sentenced to 12 years in Prison for Criminal Sexual Conduct
A Minneapolis man will spend the next 12 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Cass County.
27-year-old Travion Allen was charged with one count of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
The charges stem from an incident at the Palace Casino in Cass Lake in August of 2014. On March 6, 2015 investigators met with the victim, a 13-year-old girl, who reported that she was sexually assaulted by Allen.
The teen told police that Allen held her down by her arms and forced her to have sex with him.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim was a little over 30 weeks pregnant when she reported the crime, and says Allen was the only person who could have gotten her pregnant. She was 12 years old at the time of the assault.
Allen must now register as a sex offender, and is subject to a ten-year conditional release.
