Northlanders Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
Restaurants And Bars Celebrate
It’s St. Patrick’s day and people across the northland are decked out in green and ready to celebrate.
Dubh Linn Irish Pub opened an hour early and provided food, green beer, and live music all day.
Carmody Irish Pub also served beer and food. The pub also had live Irish music and Irish musicians. Eddie Gleeson, the owner of the pub said St. Patrick’s day is an important day for Irish people and Irish-Americans to celebrate their roots and heritage.
“We always do complimentary corn beef and cabbage. It comes from our family tradition. When my grand parents’ had People’s Brewing Company here in Duluth, they’d always feed their employees on St. Patrick’s Day,” said Gleeson.
Other bars like R.T. Quinlan’s, also celebrated the day.
