Gordy’s In Cloquet Opens For The Season

The Opening Comes With The First Day Of Spring

The popular restaurant was packed with people waiting to take a bite out of the burger that they had missed all winter.

Gordy’s Hi-Hat is a seasonal restaurant that is only open during the warmer months.

The family owned burger joint opened in 1960 and has stayed in the family for 3 generations.

“I work everyday with my grandparents, they’re 88 years old and they’re here every single day and there aren’t many people that can say they work with their 88 year old grandpa everyday,” said Gordy’s Owner Sever Lundquist.

Many customers say stopping at Gordy’s is a tradition and that they are excited to visit the familiar eatery.

For one of their juicy burgers, or a sandwich stacked with hand battered fish.

It’s one of the many things people look forward to for the spring time in the Northland.

Lundquist said they are in the process of building a dog park so that their customers don’t have to leave their furry friends behind when they come to eat.
