One Arrested after Vehicle Chase, Striking Squad Car in Ashland

One person was arrested Friday afternoon following a vehicle pursuit in Ashland. 

The Ashland Police Department says they received information that a man wanted for felony armed robbery and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety was driving into Ashland. 

Authorities located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.  The car did not stop, and a brief chase ensued. 

An Ashland squad car and the suspect’s vehicle were damaged during the pursuit. 

Authorities arrested the driver for Knowingly fleeing a police officer, 2nd offense Operating while Impaired, 2nd Offense Operating while Revoked, Reckless Driving and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

Two individuals inside of the car bailed out during the chase.  Authorities are seeking to identify the two. 

The driver of the car was not the armed robbery suspect. 

No one was injured during the incident. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Ashland Police Department.
