Duluth Seeking Waterfront Development Proposals

The City of Duluth is looking to make use out of some water-front property. 

The city has issued a request for proposals for their Pier D property. 

The site is 12 acres of flat land and sits in between Compass Minerals property and the Pier B resort development. 

The estimated value of the property is around 2.1 million. 

The property sits along 1500 feet of waterfront, and has view of the Lift Bridge and Park Point. 

“It’s important to me that whatever comes here maximizes the waterfront location. That location makes it almost priceless,” said Heidi Timm-Bijold, with the City of Duluth. 

The city sent out a request for proposals to around 200 people. 

They will be accepting proposals until April 29.
