Maurices Readies to Open in April
Construction is on track at the new Maurice’s building.
Staff are getting geared up for an April move-in.
The project comes in at a whopping $80 million dollars and Maurice’s could not be prouder to claim the title of biggest commercial development project in Downtown Duluth.
The retail giant has been a part of the downtown landscape since 1931.
“For us to be able to stay in Duluth, and to move a couple blocks down from where we’re founded is very exciting,” said Laura Sieger, Associate Vice President of Communications, Maurices.
Sieger tells Fox 21 that constructing the building will help grow local employment.
“There’s great education systems in Duluth. We’ve been able to hire great talent and this is a place we really wanted to invest,” said Sieger.
“We built the building for up to 600 associates, so we definitely have room to grow,” said Sieger.
The first group of employees will move-in on April 25.
