Easter Lily Sales are in Full Bloom
Florists are packed with orders. Easter is their fifth busiest holiday.
It truly was a Good Friday for local florists as their Easter business begins to bloom.
Engwall’s in Duluth has already sold nearly 1,000 lilies. Many of those went to between thirty or forty churches.
Deliveries have already started for the lilies which will decorate many northland altars.
The lilies have been growing out in the greenhouses for around two months.
“It is the plant that says Easter more than any other flower or plant,” said manager Rod Saline.
They expect to sell even more lilies the day before Easter and won’t have a lot of leftover stock.
