Bomb Threat Unfounded at Hermantown High School
A bomb threat reported Thursday at Hermantown High School turned out to be unfounded.
School officials say a voicemail was left on a staff member’s office phone claiming that a bomb would go off around 8:30 Thursday morning. The call came into the building overnight.
Students were evacuated from the building around 8:25 a.m. while police and administrators swept through the school. Construction work was also ceased during that time.
Nothing suspicious was found during the search and students were allowed back into the school.
The school district’s technology team is working to trace the call.
The incident is under investigation by the Hermantown Police Department.
