Virginia State Trooper Injured, Gunman Dead after Shooting at Greyhound Bus Station

A Virginia State Trooper is fighting for his life, and a suspect is dead following a shooting at a Greyhound Bus Station in Richmond, Virginia. 

Virginia State Police say they encountered a man inside of the bus station around 2:45 p.m.   Police began talking to the man, when he pulled out a gun and shot the trooper. 

Two Virginia State Police Troopers returned fire, killing the man. 

The trooper was taken by ambulance to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

Two civilians were also transported to VCU medical center with non-life threatening injuries. 

No other law enforcement or civilians were injured in the incident. 

The shooting remains under investigation.
