Suspect arrested in Northland Car Vandalism Spree

After months of investigating, a 16-year-old is finally behind bars in connection to a car window vandalism spree in the Northland.

The Superior Police Department and Duluth Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 1900 block of North 21st Street on Thursday, April 7.

They say over the last few weeks they learned that a Dodge Grand Caravan had possibly been involved in the vandalism spree.

They located the van during the search.  They also located the 16-year-old suspect.

The teen allegedly confessed to vandalizing around 100 windows in the Duluth and Superior area over the past several months.  Authorities say the windows were shot out with a BB gun.

Police say he had an accomplice who has not yet been located.

The suspect was taken to the Arrowhead Juvenile Corrections Facility pending charges.
