Learns About School Programs
Congressman Rick Nolan was in Duluth Monday visiting Myers-Wilkins Elementary Head Start classrooms.
Head start is a program for kids 0 to 5 years old, whose families are below the federal poverty guidelines.
The families receive comprehensive services like early childhood education, health and nutrition, and parent involvement. Nolan was invited to the school to see what positive effects Head Start is having on the lives of children in Duluth.
The program also provides services like family support and advocacy.
