Cloquet Middle School Donates to Northern Lights Foundation
The school raised over $3,000 for the foundation
After hearing the story of a cancer survivor, students at Cloquet Middle School wanted to help out.
They started a fundraiser for the Northern Lights Foundation, which helps out kids and families whose lives have been affected by a life threatening disease.
The students set a goal of raising $2,000, but beat that with a little over $3,000.
“At first our goal was going to be five hundred but like I did not think we were going to get this much, but I’m just really happy we did,” said Ian Gunelson who helped organize the fundraiser.
For reaching their goal, the students got to duct tape their principals to the gym wall.
The students raised nearly $1,300 on Friday alone.
