Fire Marshal: Two Kids Caused Duluth Apartment Fire

The Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office says two kids caused an apartment fire in Duluth Monday night.

The Duluth Fire Department responded to the fire at 633 East 4th Street just before 5 p.m.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from an apartment in the back of the building.

Hot embers were found between the ceiling above and the next floor.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one area.

The occupants of the apartment escaped without injury.

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross, who is providing lodging.
