Police Make Another Heroin Arrest in Duluth

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a heroin bust in Duluth on Thursday. 

The Duluth Police Department, along with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the area of the 2800 block of West Superior Street around 3:05 p.m. 

During their search, they recovered 39.9 grams of heroin, $2,605 in cash, and other evidence of drug sales. 

22-year-old Quinn Charles Laase was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of 25 grams or more of Heroin and 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Police also want to take this time to warn the public of a growing concern of heroin laced with fentanyl that is becoming more prevalent in this region.  Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is more potent than heroin and can increase the possibility of overdoses and death.
